Deposit & Refund Policy

Whenever booking a move with Movers and Packers, you will be required to make a deposit of 20% of the estimated total cost of the move. This deposit will be applied to your move once it is completed. If you need a refund of this deposit, your cancellation notice must be received at least seven days prior to the date of your move.

Price Per Man Hour

When hiring us to help you with your packing and moving, we charge per man, per hour. This is an easy way to get a good approximation on how much your move will cost. Simply multiply the number of hours times the hourly rate times the number of movers you will need. If you need help with this, just give us a call for an official estimate. The hourly rates are as follows:

• Regular Hours - $30 per hour. These take place Monday – Saturday 8AM – 7PM
• Overtime Hours - $40 per hour. These take place Monday – Saturday 7PM-8AM
• Sunday & Holiday Hours - $50 per hour.

Rates for Travel Time

The travel time that occurs during the move will be charged at the same rates listed above. The number of hours charged is based on the miles traveled. Travel distance under three miles is included with the move. Travel from 3 to 10 miles is charged at a rate of .5 hours. Travel from 11 to 20 miles is 1 hour. 21 to 30 miles is 1.5 hours. 31 to 50 miles is 2.5 miles. If your move requires travel greater than 100 miles, it is charged at a rate of .5 hours per 20 miles.

Accepted Methods of Payment

We do our best to accept as many types of payment as possible. This includes the following payment options:

• Certified Checks

If you choose to pay with a MasterCard or Visa, you will be assessed a 2% service fee. If you choose to pay with Discover or American Express, the service fee is 5%. These service fees are to offset the added costs that we are charged by the credit card companies.
